About Us

Woodhill Elementary School is proud to be one of only 10 Innovation Schools in Gaston County Schools. This distinction means we focus on thoughtful strategies, purposeful teaching, and enthusiastic learning to support student achievement. With additional instructional support and advanced teacher roles, we are working hard to ensure every child reaches their full potential.

We offer the ASPIRE after-school program, which provides students with extra learning opportunities and enrichment activities in a safe and supportive environment.

At Woodhill Elementary, students have unique opportunities to grow as leaders and global citizens. One example is the Woodhill Twelve, a group of young men who take on leadership roles by assisting with school events, setting a positive example, and encouraging others to do the same.

Our diverse staff, which includes international teachers, gives students a chance to learn about different cultures, languages, and perspectives. This exposure helps broaden their understanding of the world and builds appreciation for diversity.
